How this is calculated

Each episode's actual listening time is its length divided by the playback speed — a 60-minute episode takes 40 minutes at 1.5× and just 30 minutes at 2×. Multiply by your weekly episode count to get the weekly total, then scale to a monthly figure (using the average 4.333 weeks per month) and a yearly figure (52 weeks).

The "time saved" percentage shows how much wall-clock time the speed-up reclaims versus listening at 1×. At 1.5× you save 33 %; at 2× you save 50 %. Research suggests most listeners adapt to 1.25–1.5× without much loss of comprehension; above 2× detail retention declines for dense content.
