Quick answer

How does this calculator work?

Total = (Price × Qty) × (1 − Discount%) × (1 + Fee%). Enter ticket face value, quantity, service fee percentage and any group discount to see the final amount to pay and the cost per ticket after all adjustments.

Formula
Total = (Price × Qty) × (1 − Discount%) × (1 + Service fee%)
How this is calculated

The calculator first multiplies the face-value price by the number of tickets to get the base cost. If a group or promotional discount applies, it is subtracted from the base cost next — discounts are applied before fees to reflect the typical ticketing-platform order of operations. The service or booking fee percentage is then applied to the discounted subtotal and added on top.

The breakdown shows face value versus fees as a proportion of the final total, so you can see at a glance how much of the price is "real" ticket cost versus platform charges. Service fees on major platforms typically range from 10–30% of the face value, so the bar can shift noticeably depending on the event and platform.

Note: some platforms charge flat per-ticket fees rather than a percentage. If yours does, convert the flat fee to a percentage of the face value before entering it (e.g. a $7.50 fee on a $50 ticket = 15%).

Frequently asked questions

This calculator applies the discount first, then the service fee on the discounted amount — which matches how most booking sites work. If your platform does it differently (fee first, then discount), enter 0% discount and adjust the face value manually to match the discounted price.

Convert it to a percentage: (flat fee ÷ ticket price) × 100. For example a $5 flat fee on a $40 ticket equals a 12.5% service fee. Enter that percentage in the service fee field.

Run the calculator once for each ticket type and add the totals together. For a quick estimate on a mixed order, use the average price per ticket.
