How does this calculator work?
Tip = Bill × Tip% ÷ 100; each person pays (Bill + Tip) ÷ People. For a $45 pizza order with an 18% tip split 3 ways: tip = $8.10, total = $53.10, each person owes $17.70. Aim for 15–20% on delivery orders.

How this is calculated
The calculator takes the pizza order total (the pre-tip amount), the desired tip percentage, and the number of people splitting the bill. The tip amount is found by multiplying the bill by the tip percentage divided by 100. Adding that tip to the bill gives the grand total, which is then divided equally by the number of people to give each person's share.
For pizza delivery, many guides suggest tipping 15–20% of the order total for standard delivery. If the order is particularly large, the driver navigated difficult weather or parking, or the service was exceptional, 20–25% is a generous and appreciated tip. For pick-up orders, a smaller tip (5–10%) or no tip is typical since there is no delivery involved.
The split is perfectly equal — it does not account for people ordering different items. If your group wants to pay individually, use the total bill and tip total, then have each person pay their own item plus a proportional share of the tip.
Frequently asked questions
A common guideline is 15–20% of the order total. For large orders, bad weather, or exceptional service, 20–25% is a generous tip. Many drivers rely heavily on tips as part of their income.
Tipping for pick-up is optional but appreciated. A small 10% tip or a couple of dollars is a kind gesture if the staff were helpful, but it is not expected the way delivery tips are.
