How does this calculator work?
Age in days = floor((referenceDate − birthDate) in milliseconds ÷ 86,400,000). A person born on 15 January 1990 is about 13,320 days old on 1 July 2026. Leap years are included automatically because the calculation uses the raw millisecond gap between calendar dates.

How this is calculated
The calculator subtracts the birth date from the reference date in milliseconds and divides by 86,400,000 (the number of milliseconds in one day), then floors to the nearest whole day. Both dates are interpreted as local midnight (00:00:00) so the result is always an exact integer number of calendar days — not affected by clock time or time zones within a day.
Leap years are handled automatically because the raw millisecond difference counts every actual calendar day. A person born on 15 January 1990 and checking on 15 January 2026 will see exactly 36 × 365 + 9 = 13,149 days (nine leap years: 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024).
The "complete years" stat finds the last birthday on or before the reference date. "Days since last birthday" is the days from that birthday to the reference date, giving the age within the current year. The reference date defaults to today so you see your current age in days immediately, but you can change it to any past or future date.
Frequently asked questions
The calculator uses the actual millisecond difference between the two dates, so every leap day that falls within the range is counted automatically. You do not need to adjust for leap years manually.
Age in days is the total number of calendar days since birth — it keeps growing every day of your life. Days since last birthday resets to 0 on your birthday each year and counts up to the next one, like the "days" part of your age in years, months, and days.
